Fundraising

It is important that you start saving money on a monthly basis.  Set up a time line for your payments and send your payments to the travel agency.  Pilgrimages require sacrifice.  Make a list of things that you are can sacrifice in order to save money.

5 Important things about Fundraising:

1. Let the Parish Pastor know you are fundraising to go on a pilgrimage and are hoping to fundraise for it.

2.  Take a moment to pray and meditate on "why you are doing this?" and "How is this going to help your parish?"

3. Inform the community of your plans to go on this pilgrimage, include the why and the how.  Ask for help in fundraising.  Publicize and promote.

4. Ask for help from people that would have fundraised in the past from your community.  Is not about raising money only, but about building relationships.  Set up a goal.

5. Remember that when fundraising, try to get as many things donated.  The more donations, the more revenue.
